As a miniature painter and maker, I strive to create small and accurate details for miniature and small objects.
With the help of 3D modeling software like Zbrush and Maya, I was able to build the model in digital space, and use the printed piece to create wax pattern.
I took two paths to make my wax patterns, one is to make silicon mold and cast the pattern, the other is to use the SLA printer to print directly from wax. For the silicon mold making, I used a piece in 1/10 scale for the ease of molding, for the printed pattern, I chose to print in 1/35 scale, a common scale in the realm of scale modle and miniature.
